Over past 30 years, Kin’s stores, founders and directors have received numerous awards for business excellence. Kin’s stores have been voted top choice by the readers of many – if not all – community publications, such as the Georgia Straight, West Ender, North Shore Outlook, Vancouver Courier, Burnaby Now, Burnaby News Leader, Richmond News, New Westminster Record, Delta Optimist, Surrey Now and Langley Advance to name a few.
In 2018, Kin Wah Leung received recognition through the 2018 RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Awards on account of his outstanding accomplishments and contributions to society across Canada for the past 10 years.
In 2013, Kin Wah Leung was awarded the Queen Elizabeth 11 Diamond Jubilee Medal for his achievements through Kin’s Farm Market in the past 25 years. This award is commemorative metal created in 2012 to mark the sixtieth anniversary of Elizabeth 11’s accession to the thrones of the Commonwealth realms. It honored significant contributions and achievements by Canadians to their fellow countrymen, their community, or to Canada over the previous sixty years.
In 2010, the One Good Idea Award for Canadian Cancer Society Campaign went to Kin’s for our campaign to raise awareness and $500,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. The project included an educational component to focus on cancer prevention.
In 2009, our directors were awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Award in the Business-to-Consumer category. The EOY is the most prestigious business leader’s recognition in North America.
