Our Official COVID-19
Response to the Community

Our communities, our country, and our world are facing adversities that have significantly affected all our lives, and which will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. During this challenging time, Kin’s Farm Market believes in, and is committed to, kindness and the safety of our front-line heroes and neighbours – you the customer.

We will continue to remain open to provide the fresh fruit & vegetables you love and the peace of mind that food is conveniently available to you at your community Kin’s. We are working with the Provincial Health Services Authority and the Public Health Agency of Canada to stay up-to-date on latest best practices to provide the safest and most sanitary environment. We have also established a Kin’s COVID-19 task force to quickly respond to the ever-evolving environment. From this we have introduced and implemented the following initiatives:

1. Social Distancing

2. Sterilized Touchpoints

We have introduced space indicators on the ground
to manage social distancing protocols in-store -- including for lineups.

We have increased our sterilization activities of high frequency touch-points such as payment terminals, counters, tabletops, and basket handles.

3. Customer Flow Restrictions

4. Limiting Cash Transactions

We have limited the number of customers, at any
one time in our stores, to a maximum of 10.

We are encouraging our customers to use debit or
credit card as payment options whenever possible.

5. Installing Plexiglass Shields

6. Increased Handwashing

We have installed plexiglass shields at checkout
stations--to provide a barrier between
our customers and our cashiers.

We have increased the frequency of our, already vigilant, staff hand-washing policies.

7. Self Quarantine Protocol

8. Pricing Consistency & Reliability

We have introduced a mandatory 14 day self-quarantine for any staff that may have/had contact with travellers outside of Canada or with somebody who has been in contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19.

We will maintain our existing pricing policies. That said, price fluctuations may occur up or down as a result of current volatility in the currency markets and supply
costs. However, we are working closely with all our
grower partners to mitigate this while keeping
continuity of supply for our communities.

In Recognition of our
Front-Line Heroes

We are both proud and extremely appreciative of our team of Front Line Heroes. They are the ones who allow us to serve and support you, our valued customer, in these times of uncertainty. And while we have always been supportive of our invaluable team members who work diligently on the front-lines to service the community, during these challenging times we are implementing a temporary compensation increase.

Since 1987, Kin's Farm Market has proudly serviced our communities. You are our neighbours, our source of motivation, and our friends. Despite what seems like an onslaught of trials and tribulations recently, life prevails and normalcy will eventually return. Until that time, and beyond, Kin's is here to support your needs. More than ever we believe now is the time we have to live our purpose: To inspire a better quality of life in our communities.

From our family to yours, we graciously thank you for all your support.

Eat well, stay well, and be safe.
